Last week was the first week in a very long time that I have planned any meals and gone grocery shopping for anything. I loved it. I forgot how mice it is to have plenty of food in the house and be able to make whatever, whenever. It also meant that we ate out way less than most any other week in the past year and we spent far less on food. Honestly, I think it also saved us time in the end. We were not having to worry about who was going to go get lunch or what was for dinner and who would get it, we just ate what was on the menu and in the house.

There were, of course, a few things that did not get prepared, so those have been jumped to this week's list. There were also a few things that I loved- these balls being one of them. They were so good and ridiculously easy to make and kept my sweet tooth in check just fine! I did make a few changes to them and will have the recipe up soon!

As for other meals, here is what we will be eating this week!

Monday

  • Breakfast: Hard Boiled Eggs and Fruit
  • Tuesday: Spinach and Strawberry Smoothie
  • Dinner: Creamy Tortellini Soup with Shrimp
  • Snack: Kale Chips (I did not get to make them last week)

Tuesday

  • Breakfast: Eggs and Toast
  • Lunch: Caprese Salad (it was so yummy last week and easy to make!)
  • Dinner: Blue Apron Meal
  • Snack: Yogurt

Wednesday

  • Breakfast: Fruit and Yogurt Parfait
  • Lunch: Meal Replacement Shake
  • Dinner: Caesar Salad with Shrimp
  • Snack: Fruits and Vegetables

Thursday

  • Breakfast: Meal Replacement Shake
  • Lunch: Egg Sandwich
  • Dinner: Kale and Salmon
  • Snack: apples with almond butter

Friday

  • Breakfast: Salmon Omelet
  • Lunch: Eggplant Pizza
  • Dinner: Big night out!
  • Snack: Bar

Saturday

  • Breakfast: Flaxseed Smoothie 
  • Lunch: Meal Replacement Shake
  • Dinner: Raw Kale Pesto over Linguine 
  • Snack: Small Fruit and Yogurt Parfait

Sunday

  • Breakfast: Meal Replacement Bar
  • Lunch: Egg Sandwich
  • Dinner: Blue Apron
  • Snack: Bars

There have been many people I have talked with who either have too big or too little a family to justify Blue Apron, are unsure about getting food in the mail, or are not in an area that Blue Apron delivers to. All of them, however, either loved Blue Apron's food or love the way it looks. For those and everyone else out there who enjoys eating, you are in luck! The hubs just informed me a few days ago that Blue Apron now has a cook book and it is on pre-order.

The book is filled with Blue Apron's favorite summer recipes in their always easy to understand format. Blue Apron has taken 50 of their most popular summer recipes, improved on them based on customer feedback, and added them to a cookbook just for us. I love Blue Apron's recipes and am so excited to see the improvements they have made to already yummy meals. The cookbook also has dessert recipes and a whole rundown on different summer foods.

What I love more than any of this is the Feast with Friends section. Sure, a good cocktail and dessert is almost always appropriate, but being able to share some of these ridiculously good meals with friends makes me over the moon excited! Hopefully the title, Summer Cooking with Blue Apron- A Collection of Simple, Seasonal Recipes Vol. 1, is a good indication of what Blue Apron has planned for the future. Yes, I will be pre-ordering this one and all other seasonal cookbooks they are [fingers crossed] making throughout the year!

Summer Cooking with Blue Apron is currently on pre-order until July 31st. Best to order yours ahead of time since they have knocked the price down to $22.95 (from $29.95) until the pre-order has ended. Did I mention that it is a limited edition? Better get to the getting!

This Week in Workouts- Let's Eat!

Happy Sunday, I hope your Valentine's Day was fantastic!! This week I read a great article on Houzz about how to get them most out of your weekend. There are a few things on this list that we are planning to do today! The hubs and I have some friends who buy us tickets to a show every year for Christmas and this year they got us tickets to Once. So, tonight we are going to Once and meeting up with said friends at their favorite new eatery beforehand. Oooo, I cannot wait for some serious fun and serious eating tonight.

If you follow me on instagram, then you know this week has really been all about eating for us. Our first Hello Fresh order came this week and our third Blue Apron. There has been lots of cooking and tasting and reviewing of said meal plans. Hopefully, there will be a very in depth review article with a very clear winner in the following couple of days.

Sunday: Recovery day from Barry's Bootcamp and an evening of dancing

Monday: Easy Yoga Flow that I will have to post soon followed by a 10-minute bridge workout

Tuesday: Rest Day

Wednesday: 2-mile workout followed by this Ali K Yoga Flow for Core in the morning, then, Hot Yoga in the evening.

Thursday: Easy Yoga Flow, again.

Friday: 5-mile run followed by a Yoga Flow for Flexibility

Saturday: Aerial Yoga Strong- which is pretty much massive muscle toning in a silk sling... Quite fun!
